The Japan America Society of St. Louis joins with St. Louis Fude no Kai and JASWA in welcoming Ms. Seiran Chiba, a professional Japanese calligrapher from Fukushima, to St. Louis on Thursday, May 2 for a hands-on workshop and demonstration. The workshop is free to JAS members, but will be open to non-members after April 15 is space remains.

This is the 6th Calligraphy with Seiran workshop in St. Louis offered by Fude no Kai providing the St. Louis community with hands-on experience and an opportunity to view the art of calligraphy. It is the first collaboration with JAS to offer it for FREE to JAS members. Space is limited, so we encourage you to register by April 15, after which we will open registration to the general public for $10 per person.
No experience is necessary, and all calligraphy materials will be provided. The workshop will go from 2:30 to 3:45 pm, but the room will open at 2:00 for preparation. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided afterward.
