文部科学省の学習指導要領に基づき、日本語の基礎技能の習得、学年相応の基礎学習力、日本の学校教育および日本社会への適応をめざし、国際感覚や視野の育成にも力を入れています。

Based on the Curriculum Guidelines of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the St. Louis Japanese Language School aims to acquire basic Japanese language skills, basic learning skills appropriate to the grade level, adapt to Japanese school education and Japanese society, and also focus on cultivating an international sense and perspective.

Parkway District's ESL office is located in Fern Ridge High School. For the benefit of people working during the day, night classes are provided. Saint Louis Community College (STLCC)

STLCC's ESL faculty is specially trained to determine and respond to the language learning needs of non-native English speakers. The ESL program is intended for both graduates of American high school and foreign institutions. The course sequence in the ESL program will help students reach a level of English language proficiency appropriate for college-level work.

International Institute of St. Louis

The International Institute of St. Louis offers adult English classes for non-native speakers of all levels. These classes meet Monday and Tuesday from 8:30AM-1:00PM and Wednesday from 8:30AM-10:00AM. Registration is on a first come first serve basis and appointments are preferred.
