Ambassador Ichiro Fujisaki serves as President of the America-Japan Society in Japan and as Chairman of International Strategies at Sophia University in Tokyo. He was Ambassador of Japan to the United States from 2008-2012 and to the United Nations and World Trade Organization in Geneva prior to that.
James L. Schoff is a senior fellow in the Carnegie Asia Program. His research focuses on U.S.-Japan relations and regional engagement, Japanese politics and security, and the private sector role in Japanese policymaking. He previously served as senior adviser for East Asia policy at the U.S. Office of the Secretary of Defense and as director of Asia Pacific Studies at the Institute for Foreign Policy Analysis (IFPA).
Mr. Thad Simons is Managing Director of The Yield Lab, an agricultural technology accelerator seed capital fund that brings together new innovative technologies focused on improving productivity, enhancing knowledge, eroding boundaries, and merging historically independent ecosystems into a more cohesive agricultural system.
